Playing with Winster for Fun, Education, and Pennies

Winster is a Fun Game Series

Angie Grey
Winster is a way to get away from games geared towards teenage boys, games like Area 51 and Grand Theft Auto. As a woman in the prime of life, I need to start acting my age and gender, so, Winster and other programs like it are the way to go.

This little article is going to take me a few weeks to get together, and I hope that you like it. Winster is in interesting playtime activity, and the free membership option limits a person to about 90 minutes of play per day. Even the 99 cent day pass limits a player to a total of 500 turns. I think that this is at most, 4 hours of play, which is really all that I'm able to handle on a sick day. 50 more turns are available for turning in an address book from an email address you are abandoning, or your used job and rewards search spider, as long as one does not overdo it.

There are also cute little graphics that are available on Winster, for character development, for 99 cents, such as a rose, or another bit of clip art, if you are too shy to add your photo, plus, 99 cent hats that you can add to your character.

Why spend this money? Well, by doing the Winster program, a regular player who has decided to stop spending money on solo entertainment is able to save money, plus, there are rewards available for users, such as gift cards. (I'm not sure if these can be sent to Canadian addresses yet, and am still building that Canadian job and freebie spider to shoot over to Winnie.)

Slot Social - This is the game to try first. I was not that wild about this one in 2007, and stopped playing altogether. In 2008, I decided to try more options instead of quitting. Some people take this game very seriously. Yes, there are rules, and you should familiarize yourself with these rules prior to playing a lot. People who are presently slot machine addicts might find themselves to lose interest in other on line versions of the game, to play this instead for 99 cents per day. Everyone here is group oriented, and sharing the tokens so that everyone wins is the top priority here. I might not ever play penny slots again, Slot Social is more fun. I have trouble limiting myself to 50 turns on this game.

Poker Pals - Playing your cards and sharing with other players. This is a game that attracts people who are serious about poker. As someone who has yet to go beyond casino bonus bus trips and the infrequent penny slot machine lodging to save money on an overbooked hotel room, I'm still reading the rules to this, and leave after my first turning in of a less than full house or 5 of a kind hand, for a few points. The fellow players do not appreciate anything less than going for the maximum points in this room. I still prefer the penny poker slots, or reading a good gaming manual, such as Boyle's to this Poker Pals, perhaps because I still don't have all the rules down by heart.

Spell Squad - Now this is the game for Associated Content writers. I am turning to this to help me overcome writer's block. The words to be formed are 3 letter, 4 letter, 5 letter, 7 letter, 9 letter, and 12 letter words. This is a social and fun game, as well as a way of learning chat room abbreviations for those of us who ignored the development of chat rooms during the past few decades. I'm learning a lot of new short words that I hope to be able to use in articles, and am opening up my mind to developing the use of new words to use in articles. This game is a plus way of learning to use words, as well as a fun way of spending 99 cents once in a while. Of course, I disagreed with the dictionary a few times, and so might you, however, overall, this game is still a good and educational play.

Picture Magic: There are different pictures available here to play, which I enjoyed doing. Assembling the picture is fun and easy to do, especially in a game room with helpful people. I enjoyed my 50 turns at this game.

Chain Gang: This is another fun pictorial game, with different pieces of chains that assemble into linked pieces. Depending on your skill, luck, and partners, you can do anywhere from pretty well to extremely well during the course of about 50 turns.

Doku Deluxe - Having finally learned the rules of Sudoku, this on line version is fun and easy to use. I've played the game twice in one day, and have found it to be a gem. I like Doku Deluxe already, although, it may take a few weeks to really get to be comfortable playing this game, as well as writing about it. Completing one board was exhausting for me, having finally learned the rules of Sudoku. I learned something new by playing Doku Deluxe.

Match Maker - I liked this game, the few times I have played it so far. However, I think that I need to try it a few more times just to be able to tell you the ins and outs of the game completely from out of my experiences. There are pieces of different colors and shapes to match up tic-tac-toe style to gain points, and the other players will trade pieces with users. Doing 50 turns on this game went by quickly.

Bing Bash - Believe it or not, I like the on line version of this better than the in-house version, even given the free coffee and free gaming perks, and I've only played 8 cards. This was a cute and fun game, without the messy bingo cards, and the rules are right there.

Burger Buddies - This is a lot more fun than working at the hamburger stand! 50 turns of this game goes by really quickly, even when the assembly line gets frustrating when there are too many buns and not enough burgers going around. The larger the burger stack, the more points a player earns are the rules of the game.

Facets - The smiley face making game, with point levels given for different backgrounds is cute, however, 50 turns of this one is enough for me.

As of this writing, there are only 2 articles about Winster on Associated Content.

For the most part, I found myself overwhelmed with the generosity of my fellow players, who would give me pieces, and enjoyed being able to reciprocate by giving back free pieces. It was fun to be able to give and take on the various games that Winster offers.

Pros: Fun and free, for the most part. It's easy to avoid overspending on Winster. At most, this should cost less than bus fare, plus, there are rewards offered for frequent players. Winnie gives directions that we need to shut other programs down, open our window to see more of the screen, and our fellow players are usually helpful with the game. I have not received my first reward yet, however, I have faith in Winnie Winster, and am pretty certain that I will before the end of the calendar year (3 months). A reward per quarter is enough for me, and gives me a budget towards future sick days from office work when on line gaming is about all I'm up to doing, and need something to do other than reading, watching television or cleaning the apartment for 4 hours. Sometimes I'm not sure if I'm just playing with a bunch of network servers instead of a group of fellow human beings.

Cons: The slow connection speed, the bandwidth size, needing to drop everything else completely while focusing on playing the game - no multi-tasking. This is not for people who are doing home inbound or outbound telemarketing, or who need to wait to answer a telephone that is connected to a computer, unless a person has two computers. It might be nice to have a math game, for those of us who work in sales or retail, or have 6 and 8 letter words included in a different version of Spell Squad. Winster might be too much fun for serious workaholics. Winster might not provide enough spins for gambling addicts. Sometimes, I'm not sure if I'm just playing with a bunch of network servers instead of fellow human beings.
