Playmobil Pirate Dinghy Playset Review

If pirates and ships are your son's fancy, the Playmobil Pirate Dinghy is the perfect toy for him. The Playmobil Pirate Dinghy features two pirate figurines, a cannon, an anchor, an attractive Cannon Boat that really floats and best of all, treasure chest filled with treasure! The entire Playmobil Pirate Dinghy measures thirteen by eight inches by three point nine inches by nine point eight inches. The Playmobil Pirate Dinghy sells for twenty-five dollars, which is a good deal for a well-constructed and quality toy. The Playmobil Pirate Dinghy is made of really good quality plastic. The rest of the accessories included in the Playmobil Pirate Dinghy are of good quality as well. The Playmobil Pirate Dinghy has quite a small boat, measuring around a foot long although I appreciate its well made sail and its vibrant and solid colors. The Playmobil Pirate Dinghy has a really sophisticated design, with its true to life deck and its real working cannon that actually shoots darts.

My son loves playing with the Playmobil Pirate Dinghy in the bathtub because the ship actually floats on water. The only downside is that it has small components such as the coins in the treasure chest and the tiny parrot. These small pieces started floating away from the boat when it was submerged in water, and I almost panicked while watching my son because I did not want any of the pieces to get lost. The Playmobil Pirate Dinghy is truly a wholesome toy that will last your kids a long time--if he does not lose the parts that is. I would recommend the Playmobil Pirate Dinghy for older kids, not for toddlers. I made the mistake of buying this toy for my four year old, and although he thoroughly enjoys it and loves it to death, I still feel he is too young to handle toys with small and complicated parts.

The great thing about the Playmobil Pirate Dinghy is that it Playmobil has other products that will upgrade and enhance this play set. You can purchase a Playmobil motor, to make the ship motorized. We tried doing that and my son loved this play set even more! If you want a more sophisticated treasure chest, you can buy the Playmobil Pirate Treasure Chest, which is a lot bigger and opens up to a treasure island! It is a true treasure indeed. The Playmobil Pirate Dinghy is really a great buy and I highly recommend it for kids aged six and up.
