PlayStation 2 Games to Look Forward to This Spring

Spring is one of the biggest seasons for new video games. March has some of the most anticipated PlayStation 2 releases of the year. Even though PlayStation 2 is on it's way out now that the newer console, PlayStation 3, has come out, there are still new games to be had. The following is a list of the five most anticipated games to come out in the spring for the PS2.

Burnout Dominator - March 6, 2007
The Burnout series of racing games is one of the most popular out there today. The new game in the series offers a lot of the same aspects from the previous installments, but with better graphics and 3-dimensional car models, which is sure to please the people who'd been playing them since the beginning. If you're interested in feeling the speed and sharp-turned action of a classic racing game, pick up Burnout Dominator at the beginning of March.

God of War 2 - March 13, 2007
This is the sequel to one of the most popular action games that has come out for the PlayStation 2 in recent years. God of War came out in 2005 with much praise and just a little controversy. One of the first cinemas in the game involves a sex scene. Expect similar controversial subjects as well as better graphics and game play when this game hits shelves in the middle of March.

Shining Force Exa - March 20, 2007
This role-playing game provides a similar system when compared to the previous game, Shining Force Neo. There are many races to choose for your characters and many classes for each race. It sports detailed anime-style cutscenes and a large cast of characters. This Sega-made game has 3-dimensional in-game graphics. It looks to be a great role-playing game for the dieing PlayStation 2 console system. Pick it up mid-March at your favorite gaming store.

Dawn of Mana - March 30, 2007
Many of you may remember the great action RPG game for Super Nintendo, Secret of Mana. This is a much anticipated offering from the same popular series. This game has been out for a while in Japan and has met with great reviews and sales numbers there. Screenshots for the game are outstandingly beautiful, this being the first Mana game to be presented in the 3-dimensional format. Dawn of Mana is surely going to be a hit. Pick it up at the end of March.

Spider-Man 3 - May 2007
Although most video games based on movies turn out bad, the first two Spider-Man games ended up being very fun and popular. Now that the newest Spider-Man movie is coming out, so will the game. Since the first two games have such a good track record, this latest offering will likely be just as good. If you like this web-slinging comic book hero, pick up the game some time in May.
