Ok, Well first off. We need to know what each console specializes in.
Xbox 360: Xbox is for hard-core gamers. It has only a couple family games, but those games are great fun. The Xbox mainly uses any shoot-em-up games, which are
one of the most addictive games on the market today. Examples of these games are Halo, Call of Duty, Gears of War, and other titles.
PlayStation 3: Playstation 3 is for family-fun gaming. Moderate gaming is the most common, which games are like these titles: NBA Live, Madden NFL, And the most popular video game, which is Skate. These games are family-fun and can be played at all ages.
Wii: The Nintendo Wii probably revolutionized all gaming. It has a motion senser that can pick up signals by the controllers. These games are very interactive and are family fun. Even the young ones can enjoy games such as Wii Bowling, Super Mario Party, and Wii Fit.
Pros:
Xbox 360: Xbox has many pros. It's online live system in one of the most exciting online gameplay ever available. The console also has amazing graphics, and a really nice controller, that can easily be gripped in your hand. The Xbox can also hook up to you computer and access Windows Media Center, and it has a very large store to buy games, videos, and songs in. The Xbox 360 is also the cheapest console to buy out of the 3.
PlayStation 3: As far as all graphics goes in the gaming industry, PlayStation has everyone beat. The amazing, vivid, and lifelike graphics will keep you in awe untill the game is popped out. The PlayStation also has a built-in BluRay player, which will most likely in the next years, will topple over the standered DVD. It also has a built-in wireless adapter, so you don't have to pay for a $100 one like the Xbox requires. And you can access the internet very quickly and easily.
Wii: The Wii is probably like I said before, the most interactive gaming system ever invented. It is very interactive for young children, as they enjoy customizing there character
it also is very fun. People can always look forward in the future of Wii's, as they constantly update hardware, such as Wii Sports, Wii Fit, and much more.
Cons:
Xbox 360: As everyone knows now, Xbox's have a very bad overheating problem. The "Red Ring of Death" is what it's most often called. It is a very costly mistake which can cost about $130 if you don't have a warranty. The graphics may be better then the Wii, but in my opinion, the PlayStation 3 graphics are way better. So, even if the Xbox is the cheapest out of all of the others, it still has some major improvement before it can actually compete with the rest.
PlayStation 3: The PlayStation 3 has very few cons, but the main ones are the controller and the expensiveness of the console. The controller is very hard to get comfortable with, which is one of the reasons why so many people prefer the Xbox. The cost of the PS3 is another problem, however, you get what you pay for, as it is one of the best consoles.
Wii: If your a hard-core gamer, the Wii is not for you. It proves to become very dull after a long period of time. So, if your interested in Shoot-Em-Up games, go Xbox, If your interested in Moderate gaming, like sports, the go Ps3, however, if your only a dull gamer, then Wii is for you. I would not recommend this unless you play with your entire family, because solo play can be very dull and boring.
What to Expect:
Xbox 360: If you havn't known yet, Xbox is planning to release the the Xbox 720 in the year 2011-2012. Which will probably solve most of the problems the 360 has. Another thing to look forward is the Project Natal, which will transform your Xbox into the next generation of gaming. However, that's all i can say for myself, look at the official page of Project Natal here: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/projectnatal/
PlayStation 3: The PlayStation 4 is announced to release in 2010, which is quite a bit better then when Xbox 360 will come out. That's basically all Sony has informed us about at the moment.
Wii: The Wii 2 is also expected to be released in 2010. Which is also the last of which Nintendo informed us about.
OverAll Ranking:
PlayStation 3: 8.5%
Xbox 360: 6.35%
Wii: 4.25%
