Playstation Move PS3 Game Previews
Run, Shoot and Even Raise a Pet with PS3's Playstation Move Controllers
Sports Champions: PS3's answer to the success of Wii Sports is the Playstation Move game entitled Sports Champions. The games included in Sports Champions are Archery, Table Tennis, Disc Golf, Gladiator Duel, Bocce and Beach Volleyball.
While the game does not feature traditional sports like baseball or football, those sports should get their own Playstation Move release.
Players can compete for high scores through the online system, compete head to head against friends or play in the Free Play mode and just play for fun. There are ten different characters to select from and the graphics in Sports Champions recreates the most realistic look possible.
EyePeto: Turn your PS3 console in a virtual pet with the interactive EyePeto game. The EyePeto creature uses the Playstation Eye and Move controllers for an interactive experience. The EyePeto can track anything on the screen and players watch themselves interact with the animal.
The Playstation Move controllers can be used to play with toys for your pet and also dress the EyePeto into a large collection of costumes.
The controllers are also used to draw directly on the screen and anything a player draws will come to life for the EyePeto to play and interact with.
The Fight: Lights Out: Become an aggressive street fighter without actually getting hurt in The Fight: Lights Out. The game has realistic street fighting and players can either use the standard PS3 controller or use the Playstation Move controller for 1:1 realistic fighting movements.
The graphics appear gritty and realistic as fighters meet up in the streets of an urban city. The fighters in the game are muscle bound and tattooed thugs, as the rich details immediately bring you into the game.
It is hard to tell whether this game will stand p to other fighter games, but the Playstation Move controllers add a lot of potential.
Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition: On the Wii, players were able to use motion controls to battle the zombies and this innovation has now moved to the PS3. This remake of Resident Evil 5 features the same levels and game play as the original, but now with several updates.
Two new missions, entitled "Desperate Escape" and "Lost in Nightmares" add more story, content and characters to the game. The Playstation Move controllers can be used in any level and shot like a real gun.
A special "Versues" mode allows players to compete against each other or battle a large collection of zombies or other players in a battle to the death.
Other new Playstation Move games include Brunswick Bowling, Little Big Planet 2 and Kung Fu Rider. Look for a large selection of Playstation Move games to be released in the fall and winter of 2010.
