The salesperson instructed me how to use the wand to play the Tiger Woods golf game on Sports Champions. Getting the feel of how the wand worked took a bit of getting used too. However, it wasn't that much different to use than the Wii controller.
I swung the club. The ball didn't go far. I swung again. This time, it flew into a crowd of people and caught one poor guy between the legs. He doubled over in pain while the crowd booed at me.
Oh, well. I'm more into bowling, anyway. Unfortunately, that is not included in the game. The following games are included: ping pong, archery, Gladiator sword fight, bocce, frisbee golf and volleyball.
The graphics were colorful and crisp, and the Eye Camera followed my exact movement instead of bouncing all over the place. I feel that even though I stunk at the game on the first try, I could master it eventually. My kids, my youngest in particular, will enjoy the sports game. I know that my husband will enjoy the golf and playing Call of Duty on the PS3 this Christmas.
The Bundle
The PlayStation Move System contains the motion controller, the Eye Camera and Sports Champions game. It sold out at Fry's in Campbell, California last week but they expect to get a new shipment in any day. That alone tells me how popular this game system is.
Once I returned home, I went online to Amazon and found that I can order the Move wand and/or the wand and game bundle. I'm glad that I have these options because my youngest already owns the PS3. A single controller is $50, and you can get the MOVE Precision Shot 3 for $25. The game bundle is $100. The entire system is $400.
The salesperson tried to talk me into ordering the game bundle, but I told him that I would wait until it was time for Christmas shopping. I left the store with what I intended to buy as well as a Christmas idea for my family.
