Arriving around 1 pm on a Saturday the parking lot was very full, luckily they have ample parking to accommodate a busy Saturday crowd. My friend and I had to wait about fifteen minutes for a table which considering the crowd could have been much longer.
Within moments of being seated the waiter was at our table offering us the daily selection of wine. After declining the wine we were left to look over the menu. If you have ever been to Olive Garden you know their menu has a wide selection of Italian dishes. Looking for something different than my usual I decided to order the Tuscan Garlic Chicken. After we ordered our food we were served Olive Garden's signature salad and breadsticks.
After only a short time our entrées arrived. My first impression was that the dish looked almost exactly as it was pictured on the menu. Two pieces of chicken breast cooked with roasted garlic, red peppers, and spinach. The sauce is a white wine and garlic combination white sauce all served with pasta. The garlic taste of this dish was very intense, and the chicken was very moist. This is truly a garlic lovers delight.
All in all I was very pleased by this dining experience and will definitely return to this location of the Olive Garden restaurant. The waiters were pleasant and attentive never leaving us with empty glasses. The tables were clean and in devoid of any clutter. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. And even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon the turnaround time was quick and the noise level was minimal considering the capacity crowd. As for their menu I would highly recommend the Garlic Tuscan chicken for garlic lovers. If you do order this dish be prepared to find large chunks of garlic in your food. Mine had at least half a dozen full cloves throughout the dish.
If you are in the mood for a pleasant dining experience in an Italian style restaurant please try the Olive Garden in Barboursville, West Virginia.
