Please Give Us More, the Blind Voters Pleaded!

Maggie Mckinley-Davis
The Blind Voters hold desperately to the legs of President George W. Bush and plead,
"Give us more! Please give us more!" They were crying and grasping to the lame duck
president as though he was their only hope. They needed him to stay and to prove to the
world that they were not wrong by voting for him two terms in a row.

The Blind Voters closed their eyes to the foreclosure signs all around them.
They closed their eyes to the high prices of gas and food. They ignored the
anger and the disappointment of the hundreds of thousands who had lost
their jobs to someone who lived in another country. They deliberately turned
away from the sounds of mothers and fathers weeping over the death of the
child that they sent off to fight in the Bush War. They just wanted more! They
wanted Bush to be the right one. IfGeorge W. Bush was not the man who they
had voted for, the Blind Voters would have to admit, that they were wrong!

Bush listens intently to the pleas of the Blind Voters. Then he looks at them with
a smile on this face as he whispers, "I can't give you four more years of
misery...but John McCain can!"

This scenario sounds like a bad dream to the millions of Americans who have lost

their jobs, their homes and their sons and daughters within the last seven years.

However, it can certainly become a reality, if the weight of the misery that the Bush
Administration leaves behind, will cause many tired voters to stay home on Election Day.

If you have not registered to vote, or if you do not even plan to vote, ask yourself this
question, "Do I really want more?" Or do, I want my voice to be heard by registering to
vote on Election Day?

Are you one of the Blind Voters who are afraid and ashamed to admit that you made
a mistake by voting for George Bush four years ago? Or are you too proud and ashamed
to admit that the vote that you cast at that time, has contributed to a lot of misery for most
of the Citizens of the United States of America? You can redeem yourself, by voting for a
change in this election.

Take a look around your neighborhood, your job, your pocketbook, your cupboards,
and the news. Do you really want more of the same?
