Please hold it as long as you can
You are growing way to fast
Why is it childhood cannot forever last
It was just yesterday I was bringing you home
Now that yesterday has already gone
Soon you will be a teenager then completely grown
And poor old Mom and Dad will be completely on their own
Just a few more years of you being five
Oh please don't tell me you are ready to drive
So my Little One just let me say
I want to put off that dreadful day
That day when you turn to say goodbye
And watch your mom and dad cry, cry, cry
Please my Little One hold my hand
Please hold it as long as you can
