Please Pray for Someone Dear to Me

I pray for you,
Does God hear?
I look into the sky,
See His power everywhere?
Does He care?

Why can't it be me,
Instead of you?
I ask God why,
There is no reply,
I cry myself to sleep,
I want to die.

I can't just forget you,
It is so easy to say.
I know that thru God,
There has to be a way.

I try to be strong,
Think positive thoughts.
Say there's nothing wrong,
My stomach in knots.

It's all a bad dream,
It has to be,
Makes me want to scream,
I get so angry.

Please don't shut me out,
I need to know you're alright,
There can be no doubt,
A battle we will fight.
