The Days Inn Offers Great Value for a Good Price!

Mazy Keller
Traveling is my life, and staying in hotels is something I never tire of. Always searching for the perfect hotel chain adds variety to the trips, and Days Inn is a new experience. Having acquired another travel companion, (a buddy for my little pooch),-- a BIG lab puppy named Ruger, I now need accommodations that allow multiple pets without charging an arm and a leg in pet deposits.

Heading to Bossier City, Louisiana to visit kids and grand-kids with pooches in tow, I booked a room at the Days Inn on Old Minden Road, happy to find they accept pets, screeching when I was hit with a $15.00 non-refundable deposit per pet. (What was I thinking when I added another pooch to the travel package??) The room rate for a non-smoking with 2 double beds, or one king was 59.00 to 69.00 per night, then add in a 15% discount when booking more than one night (I love discounts!), and it balanced out in my head. I was OK with the pet deposit especially after the discount, and especially with the quality of the room.

The accommodations were cozy and welcoming, the rooms large, beds comfortable, the breakfast great. Days Inn is part of the Wyndham family of hotels so I joined the Wyndham Rewards program, building points towards free stays. Wyndham is in a network of hotels that includes Super 8, Micro-tel Inn and Suites, and the Wyndham Hotel and Resort, to name a few. The network of hotels/motels seems to offer all ranges of rates and accommodations suited to just about every traveler's specific needs.

Let's mention the pool. Wow. My grand-kids loved the pool, and the hotel did not mind them spending time with me. The Bossier City, Louisiana location is close to many eateries, some within walking distance. The Bossier City Mall is also close by making shopping convenient. Did I mention Casino's? Yep, a whole pack of them are close by and offer shuttle service back and forth for humans, (no dogs allowed). So, one can have a great night sleep with included breakfast, swim, shop, and then head out for the evening to dinner, dancing, and casino-ing! I love Bossier City, and I really like the Days Inn on Old Minden Road.

As a new believer in Days Inn, one will find it easy to use their official website (daysinn.com). Also, the fact that you can choose the amenities you would like, then let the website do the search for a good match is a plus in my book. Not all of the hotels in this chain allow pets, but the web search will sort it all out for you.

There are Days Inn Hotels set up more specifically for the business traveler, and there are always specials and upgrades, suites, business centers, fitness rooms, (that great free breakfast), and much more.

All this writer can say is that you need to try a Days Inn for yourself next time you are traveling. The basic rates are good comparatively, and you will save 15% if you spend a second night. Add a hot, free breakfast, enjoy a clean, fresh room, comfy bed with a lot of pillows, and I think you will be pleased.
