Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair: A Review
My Own Experience when Trying the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair
Now there is a new product out from the makers of Pledge. Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair. This new animal fur remover is supposed to work good on furniture, pillows, car interiors, and bed spreads. So my mom and I bought one from Wal-Mart and we paid more than it was worth, almost $6 for one but they say it will last a long time before you have to buy a new one. So here is my review on it.
How the Pledge Fabric Sweeper For Pet Hair is Supposed to Work
The Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair has directions right on the box that shows how to use it correctly. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out how to use it on furniture and everything else it should work on. The Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair has two rollers on the bottom that move back and forth and grab and trap the animal fur inside when using it on fabrics. It also has an easy grip plastic handle to hold onto while moving it across fabrics back and forth.
The box says for best results slide side-to-side on furniture using some pressure. You are supposed to use short strokes in each direction. The box also says it is not for use on vinyl or leather.
The Pledge Fabric Sweeper For Pet Hair Does Not Work as Advertised
The Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair does not work as advertised and is not worth paying out almost $6 when you can get a lint brush much cheaper. My mom and I both tried it and it only lifted some pet hair, not all of the animal fur like it is supposed to.
The Pledge Fabric Sweeper For Pet Hair is Not Worth the Money
In my opinion and my moms opinion, the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair is not worth the money. It does not do the job it should do on furniture with pet fur. Of course this is only my opinion and my moms opinion and other people who have bought and used this product may have different experiences. This was our experience and not a good one. I think I will stick with lint brushes and vacuum attachments to clean the pet hair off of my furniture and clothes.
Try the Pledge Fabric Sweeper For Pet Hair at Your Own Risk
Of course I am not saying not to go out and buy it to try it for yourself. I am just saying what my mom and I experienced when using the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair. I wanted to review it so other people who have planned on buying it can make a good decision before running out and spending almost $6 on this product when it did not work well for my mom and I. You can still try it for yourself but be warned that you may be wasting your money on a product that does not work as well as the advertisement says.

Post a CommentThis product DOES work. I love it, I have three cats and I used to have to spend forever and dozens of lint sheets to get rid of the same amount. It may not work for coarser dog hair but it is fantastic for cats if you are using it right.
This product did not work well for me either. It will not pick up my dog's hair off of the stairs where I really wanted to use it.
I have 2 dogs and 6 cats and was very skeptical about this product. But it works very well! I am also able to reuse it. When it gets full, gently fold the rollers back and slowly pull the hair out. Worth the money if you can reuse it!
We have 3 cats inside and I LOVE this product. I have tried everything from lint rollers to the vacum attachments and this works great!!!! It is worth $5.00 and then some. Not too sure what all the negative comments are about, I've tried this on couches, microfiber material,etc...and its worked for us.
Like I said, it may work differently for some people. It just didn't work for my household. We have 3 dogs in the house, 3 dogs outside and 6 cats outside. It didn't work for us. I am glad it worked for you though, Julie! Everyone's experience is different! Patricia, you can find it at Wal-Mart and I'm sure if you do a search, you can find it online. You can probably order it from Wal-Mart.com
I looked for this at Kroger. They don't seem to carry it. Can I order over the internet?
I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and LOVE this product. I don't understand the negative comments.
It's works beautifully. I just this minute used it on 5 sofas and 1 chair ( microfiber material and silk), and I couldn't be happier. Well worth the money.
I have 3 lazy cats.
I LOVE this product. It really does work.
And I had tried everything. This is the best.
good to know, wish we still had our cat
Great review.. at the moment I don't need a product to remove pet hair although it is good to know that this one does not hold up to its promises!
