Plotting to Rob Mick Jagger: The Knights of Prosperity Makes Its Television

Can't get no satisfaction from your regular day job? Join the Knights. A group of down and outers who have one goal: rob Mick Jagger's apartment.

That's the get rich quick scheme dreamed up by janitor Eugene Gurkin (Donal Logue). Gurkin seems to be going nowhere in his future unless he can miraculously change all that. He rounds up a gang of his buddies who need the cash as much as he does. But don't call them criminals. Once they use only the money they need, the group plans on giving the rest to charity.

Added to this motley crew is a college intern who is led to believe he's getting credit for working on a movie set of 'Taxi 2', and a gorgeous waitress who use to have it all before moving to America, and wants it back.

While Mick Jagger is living the life of movie rooms, servants, and yogurt filled bathtubs, 'The Knights' are plotting how to rob his place. In the first episode the goal is to find the key to his apartment. But even this simple task leads to mishaps and tribulations. And while you think you know where this story is headed, the cast has warned us, that even though the season has already been mapped out, nobody can possibly guess imagine how it ends.

While this group of thieves may not be handsome, educated, or even sober, they may just have what it takes to get what they want, and potentially have a hit on ABC.

Logue, back on television after his run on 'Grounded for Life', brings a certain lovable aspect to his 'Robin Hood' meets 'Ocean 11' like character. He might not be George Clooney or Brad Pitt, but we really believe he can pull off this major heist.

The show has a quirky, comedic feel that has perhaps been lacking in some of the newer shows that have debuted this fall. The presence of Mick Jagger also lends to its star quality.

Surprisingly, however, Jagger was not the first choice for this role. Executive producers, Jon Beckerman and Rob Burnett (co-creators of 'Ed') have said that the original idea was to rob Jeff Goldblum's house. After signing a deal with ABC, it was learned that Goldblum had already committed to an NBC pilot and was unable to do 'The Knights of Prosperity'.

'The Knights of Prosperity' airs Wednesday nights at 9pm on ABC.
