Plug and Play Review: Jakks Hannah Montana TV Game

Chris Ware
There are lots of standalone plug and play systems for sale right now. These kind of systems do not allow you to add more games to the systems. The upside of these popular systems is that they already include lots of games. They also are cheaper then most consoles. The number of games vary depending on the system. Some systems are single players and some are even multiple players. The Jakks Hannah Montana TV Game is one of these systems. How good of a system is the Jakks Hannah Montana TV Game? Keep reading to find out.

There are not many games for girls compared to games for boys. Plug and play games have even fewer girl games. However more and more plug and play games are coming out aimed at girls. The franchise that is releasing the most girl oriented plug and play games is the Hannah Montana franchise. The very first plug and play game for the franchise is Jakks Hannah Montana TV Game.

The first game of most franchises are the worst. Look at the original Super Mario Brothers, not that it was a bad game but Super Mario 3 is often considered the best game on the console. The Hannah Montana TV Game is no different. While many of the other Hannah Montana plug and play games are actually pretty good games for young girls the first Hannah Montana TV Game is not a very good game.

The first problem with the Hannah Montana TV Game is that it offers only a few games. The games are not very good or original. About the best thing is that the graphics and sound are pretty good. Also the controller is unique. Girls might like the design of the controller it is anything but the standard controller.

The games work fine which is better then some plug and play systems. It does use batteries which most all plug and play systems need but it does not use the power as fast as many games. The controller is well built as well. The price of the game has also come down since there are other newer Hannah Montana games now.

If there were no other Hannah Montana games and you had a young girl who might be interested in playing video games I might say that the Hannah Montana TV Game is worthwhile. Unfortunately for this particular game but fortunately for your children that is not the case. Do yourself a favor and buy one of the other Hannah Montana games instead of this one.
