Plug and Play Review: Pirates of the Caribbean

Chris Ware
There are lots of standalone plug and play systems for sale on the market. These kind of systems do not allow you to add more games to the systems. The upside of these popular systems is that they already include lots of games. They also are cheaper then most consoles. The number of games vary depending on the system. Some systems are single players and some are even multiple players. The Pirates of the Caribbean is one of these systems. How good is the Pirates of the Caribbean plug and play system? You will need to keep reading on if you really want to know.

Right now pirates are popular. Pirates may be even more popular then Ninjas. Pirates are certainly popular with kids. Kids will love the new Pirates of the Caribbean game. While this all may sound great you should be warned that there are some problems with the Pirates of the Caribbean plug and play console.

One problem which is the same problem that almost all plug and play systems have is that they all require batteries. The Pirates of the Caribbean system does not burn through batteries as bad as some plug and play systems though. One final problem with the Pirates of the Caribbean game is that the machine has a couple design flaws. The buttons are on the left side but the right side would be more natural. Another design flaw is the top opens and closes because it is built like Jack Sparrows compass. The problem of being built like that is that it can fall down while playing.

The game graphics and sound are good. The game play is also pretty good. There is a lot to do for this game. You can roam the seas attacking other ships. You can land on islands and sword fight or look for buried treasure. It is a sandbox type game you can choose what you like to play and play accordingly.

The price of the system is pretty high at $30 for a single game plug and play system but to buy a game for a top console you will pay more so it is more reasonably priced when you look at it this way. Most kids will really love this game. For a plug and play game it has pretty good game play.

I would not get this game for someone older. However this is a good game for kids. Kids will really enjoy this game. I would recommend the game for kids but not adults.
