Do you have kids of your own to take care of at home? If so, have you thought about personally providing their learning instead of sending them to a regular institution? You will learn the pros and cons of home schooling your child.

First Advantage: He will get a one-on-one education. This will enable him to get an unlimited amount of attention and individual instruction. He will be able to ask as many questions about his material as he needs to.

Second Advantage: She will not have to deal with bullying or other kids teasing her and calling her names. Consequently, she will likely have peace of mind while not having to spend her day in fear.

Third Advantage: There are no set hours to deal with. You will not have to worry about getting him to another place by a certain time then possibly picking him up later in the day.

Fourth Advantage: She will not have to deal with having her tests and papers being graded, unless you insist on assigning grades. This will allow her to focus more and not develop a sense of fright that can occur at the onset of taking a test.

First Disadvantage: It can hurt him socially. The first reason for this is he will not come into contact with other kids and have a chance to make friends. Another is he will not learn how to get along with others his age.

Second Disadvantage: She might miss out on meeting all of the requirements for a complete education. For example, you might not teach her all of the subject material that is necessary for her to learn.

Third Disadvantage: It requires at least one of the parents to stay home. This can be problematic if the main wage earner does not make enough money to support the family on a single income.

Fourth Disadvantage: He might not like it. Before you choose to carry out this process, you should ask him if he is on board with it.

Fifth Disadvantage: You may not really be suited for it. Before you begin, you must find out what qualifications and credentials are required as well as every step you will have to follow.

Sixth Disadvantage: This might hurt her chances of finding a decent job. Some employers might insist on seeing a legitimate diploma or other graduation papers.

You have learned the pros and cons of home schooling your child.
