If you are a parent of small or tween age children, I'm sure you have already heard of this growing fad. Webkinz are the latest toy sweeping kids from ages 5 to 13 everywhere. They resemble beanie babies but, with a unique virtual twist. Each plush toy has its own secret code that allows you to adopt him as a virtual pet on the Webkinz Website. Once there you decide if your pet is a boy or girl and, you pick his own special name. This is truly only the beginning.

After adoption, you are shown to their room in Webkinz World and given KinzCash. This can buy needed items for your pet such as food, clothing, and even furniture to decorate your pets very own room. As a virtual pet, he relies on his or her owner to take special care of him. He enjoys interaction so playing, exercising, and feeding your pet daily will keep him happy and content. Owners can easily check at a glance to see if their pet is in need of food or, maybe just a little love and attention.

After caring for your virtual pet, owners can try some of the other fun things. At Quizzys Question Corner, you can earn Kinzcash by answering educational questions aimed at your child's particular age group. There are also daily activities, weekly contests, and lets not forget about the arcade games as well! Your child's pet can also have their virtual friends over for a chat or, perhaps invite them to a game. Owners can communicate about their pets in a kid safe area.

This is an area with safeguards so parents need not worry about personal information being exchanged. All these fun activities contribute to your Kinzcash and, allow the fun to keep growing for your child and their virtual pet. The site is constantly changing to keep your childs interest and encourage learning in a fun and, safe atmosphere.

The fun doesn't stop once offline. These cute and cuddly friends will steal the hearts of even the most grown up amongst us. If you'd like more information on Webkinz and their fun World, check out the official website. Once there, the designated parents' area discusses everything from safeguards, to helping manage your child's time in Webkins World. These plush cuties are flying from the shelves so if you're having trouble locating these, don't feel you're alone.

Many stores sell out on these affordable pets as soon as they arrive. If your thinking of adopting, you might try the store locator on the official site for retail listings in your area. It's also a good idea to call ahead to make sure the particular animal your after is available. When these cant be found in-store other options include online auction sites, such as Ebay.com. Be prepared though, many times you pay much more on auction sites as demand is high. Happy hunting and enjoy the fun!
