nearby. Sharing the gravitational force with objects in the nearby Kuiper belt is what got poor Pluto kicked out of the solar system by some astronomers, although a handful still consider Pluto to be part of our solar system. Named after the Roman deity of the underworld, Pluto is still worthy of being investigated by NASA. Yesterday, the agency released stunning photos of the planet revealing the atmosphere of the small planet that was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930. 350 images of the planet show one unique feature of the planet: the surface is getting more red in color, most likely due to the ultraviolet rays from the sun penetrating the methane that exists on Pluto's surface. At the present, the images resemble various patterns that might be associated with a mood ring, with alternating blue and red tones. Pluto is still worthy of holding status as a planet despite its failure to be in its own gravitational orbit. There is no reason to think otherwise, even though smaller planets and asteroids are always being sought in our solar system. Some astronomers, as well as science fiction writers, have always imagined finding forms of life on other planets in our solar system, so with Pluto in mind, what might possibly exist in the realm of fantasy on this outermost planet?
Here are some possibilities:
An underground race of exotic animals resembling the Disney dog himself, Pluto. They would have a wagging tail, maybe dragon-like, with narrow ears and their tongues hanging out of their mouth. being an underground species, however, they would be white in color, not orange-yellow, as the beloved Disney character is.
A civilization of beautiful female aliens appealing enough to earth men. Scratch that possibility, since they all live on Venus in science fiction stories and the movie "Abbott and Costello Go to Mars." These ladies prefer a sun drenched planet compared to the dark and dank Pluto.
Creatures adapted to living in methane. They resemble fish but have four legs, with forked tongues and pointed ears. Their scales would be pink in color with green polka dots. Well, it is not as original as the film "Avatar" Smurfs in outer space, but it is better than nothing.
