The Ipod was made for music downloads but did you know it really has allowed anyone to launch their own radio broadcast show uncut and cheap.
You can Podcast to anywhere that an internet access exists. The Ipod used to be the only way you could Podcast but the competition has produced more and improved technology for this growing phenomenon.
This is bigger than two way radios or CB radios and ham radios.
This allows you to produce a radio show with any material which can be downloaded as an Mp3 file. This means music, videos, and slideshows on your computer.
Podcasting now doesn't even require an Ipod even though that was how it started.
Using RSS feeds you can have people subscribe to your digital file content and automatically download and receive new files. This is your own talk show or radio show with content of your own choosing.
There are lots of ways to record your content including your laptop, skype, ichat and a host of others growing everyday.
You can conduct interviews from anyone you want and then produce it over the internet by Real Simple Syndication to anyone who wants to listen on bipods, cell phones, itunes directories and other locations.
Your subscribers can download the digital files to their device of choice and listen whenever they feel like it. You can now publish audio or video.
The content can be kept fresh and available thanks to the RSS feed.
So Podcasting is still developing and the future is greater than any radio content or online gaming. The computer geniuses will continue to offer upgrades so that eventually you won't need any technical knowledge at all.
