Now, silver-streaked interstate
shines so pretty for my oil-soaked eyes,
I see the billboard for the committed,
what does it say about those fine-armed devil-dog Marines?
who don't make compromises
but commitments,
so committed at eighteen, already?
I guess the wife might get upset,
the girlfriend might get upset,
you couldn't commit to that girl right,
aren't you upset?
They stole your wedding with a contract,
worse off,
still dealing with a nagging threat,
you have to put up with for years on end
without the birthday sex,
ouch cold turkey pot-head,
now medication makes it
pop-up--in charts, not erect.
Put up another billboard my friends,
stick to your wife,
at least you'll have sex
in the end.
