POEM: Autumn Scene

Randy Duckworth
AUTUMN SCENE

Deep colors
That once were green
Now vividly paint
My autumn scene

They fill my eyes
As I look out there
While bare and bony branches
Poke at the air

I see God's presence among the trees
Feel it in the softness of the drifting leaves
Soon the branches will be bare
But His Peace Will Still be there

The cold will come, and the snow will fall
While God remains through it all
And His Joyous comfort
Descends upon us all!
