Poem: "Baby Boy, 25 Weeks"

Audrey Star Josefek
A poem I just wrote speaking my heart of just finding out I'm having a baby boy, and getting to see the face 4-D ultrasound picture! Enjoy!

"Baby Boy, 25 Weeks"
For 3 months you made me ill,
nauseous and crying, I dealt with it all
Stretching my tummy, moving around
Making me dizzy, unbalanced and slow.

I knew what you were, but there wasn't a face
no name, no gender, no ideal image
time was flying, my body kept changing
I wondered when you'd show yourself to me.

Now nearing the end of this long journey,
I finally have peace
For there you were, Baby Boy, in picture form
for me to see, for me to know.

I now have the picture, the gender, and even a name
to go with the trouble of 25 weeks
25 weeks--15 more to go--
Weeks gearing me towards your arrival.

I will gladly wait out the time that it takes
and I cannot wait to meet you in person
I already love you, and cherish your picture-
my unique, wonderful, little Baby Boy.

A good read for expecting mothers. This must encourage mothers, waiting to see their babies, to be reminded that their pain is will be beyond worth it later on!
