A lot of factors entered into the equation.
You've already for your baby chosen life,
And I know this decision cuts like a knife.
To you for your child this is what I can give,
A warm, happy home to grow up in and live.
To chose life for your child takes tremendous courage,
A trait in this house that will never be discouraged.
A fact that is true is that you gave birth,
Something we both agree that this child is worth.
This child is viewed as a blessing times three,
Conceived by two people, then given to me.
"When God gives you lemons, you make lemonade,"
And that's what you've done in your kind, loving way.
For your baby you chose life and then adoption,
I realize this was not your only option.
You set your child free to fly like a dove,
To grow up and be someone we both are proud of.
And now in closing let me say one thing other,
Thank you for allowing us both to be mothers.
