Poem for December, Part VI

Albert Chang
This month of additions,

This month of additions,

Subtracting that which,

Celebrates, and yes, celebrates,

Spoken, again, and again, and again,

Until the hush starts to sleep,

As sweet as the trails,

Of seraph's sweet platters,

Caution and denial,

Pleading and remonstrations,

All these titles, cluttering the spree,

Of the fruit of the bloomers,

Of the fruit of the bloomers,

With this woven silk thread,

With this soft fleshy putty,

To the sunset they ponder.
