silly moment strikes the man.
Should we skip 'cross parking lot?
Son says," joining is a thought".
Across the lot, in skip they go,
watching for the traffic flow.
Smiling people all around
watch as man hits, hard the ground.
To the ER, they must travel.
To staff there, his tale will babble.
Staff says, "Daft man and adult son,
brilliant the fool that thought this one!"
'Twas for him a lucky break,
just bruised bones and ego's ache.
Contemplative, need to pray;
Christ withdrew upon that day.
Asked His cup taken away,
instead to cross sent, amidst the fray.
The women cried at His lament;
There He bled, bones cracked and bent.
Into a tomb there, He lay;
Rose from dead on Easter day!
'Twas for us a lucky break,
our sins cleansed for all our sake.
