Poem: A Grandchild's Love

Their Love Knows No Boundaries

Deb Martin-Webster
When told I would be a grandmother
I did not know what to think or say
was I worthy of this grand title
from the little one on the way

I could not wrap my brain around
my daughter being a mother
I'm still learning to be a mom
was I ready to love another

With the passing of each month
I felt the special bond of love
my daughter's angel arrived today
by the grace of God above

I held her close and kissed her cheek
then whispered in her ear
hello sweet precious baby girl
sleep tight your grandmom's here

A grandchild's love knows no boundaries
their love is unconditionally pure and true
and your heart will melt each time they says
Grandmom, I love you
