Poem: Just Kidding

Threaten Me with Love

H. Kris Thomas
Stab me in the chest, why don't you?
Make me say UNCLE
Make me scream it
Pull out my heart

Say, I'M JUST KIDDING
Like your brand of humor- caustic and black- is your toy sword
And we're only playing
You are holding sharpened steel
Me, I'm holding plastic

Pin me to the ground and threaten me
With kisses and hugs and deep loving
Knowing how I crave those things
How I dream those things
Threaten me with love

How afraid am I?
Knowing that you could turn those threats Into hermetic vices
That squeeze until all breath takes leave
Squeeze until I stop breathing
You could say
You're only joking
And walk away

uggh! this is soooo good! I could feel the pulses of underlying passion and the cold callousness the subject of torment had on you...great job!
