Poem for Mothers

My Own Words

Mrs.Rogers
Eat, get dressed, hurry it times to go.
Did you wash your face, and put on clean clothes?
Do your homework,study for test?
Are you going to do your best?
I am tired, would you help me,
If only there was time for tea.
Get them to practice, lessons and more,
Before I even get one foot in the door.
Fixing supper, dong chores,
Is there any more?
Talking to them about there day,
Hoping it all went their way.
Making them better from the flu last week,
Dealing with moments that I too feel weak.
Just enough stamina, endurance and energy,
For that long week of endless tasks.
No thanks is needed, but much appreciated,
For things left unspoken, but done in love.
Holidays to buy for, and get all they wanted,
Leaving our credit cards billed to the max.
Drawings to be posted on the refrigerator door,
They gave to me means so much more,
Then I could ever say.
Mother's Day a wondrous occasion,
Filled with mother's day relaxation.
It is a good and fun day to be noticed,
For all that me and you as mother's do.
Motherhood is the best job around,
Would not trade it or barter it,
Would not take one million dollars for.
