Poem: Mystic Fairies

Justin Germino
Follow me into the thickening glades
in search of wanderlust and magic
where creatures are found swimming
in the purest pools of creation

Their bodies radiate beauty
but don't let their forms fool you
bask in their presence but try not to touch
lest you get a petulant reaction from them

If you shower them with praise and affection
they will just think you superb
and fulfill your mortal desires
leaving you wanting for more

More fairies riding on backs of white ponies
ask you to join in their fun and games
get lost in this illusion of happiness
and enter the world of the light

Once you find yourself in this moment
you will never escape nor try
temptation and fantasy are all to infectious
who wants to go back to reality
