Poem: Something Closer to Love

H. Kris Thomas
I grow my years in inches
In foot steps
And quiet meters

I stroke my little life
In hopes that it'll turn over
And give me something closer to love

Amazing. Reminds me of a T.S. Elliot piece. You say so much with so little.

A delicate poem. I like how it 'floats' quietly, peacefully, like the Holy Spirit over water.
