Poem: The Spaces that Water Finds

H. Kris Thomas
I've done wrong
But will not stand being scolded
What's done is done

The little voids
Do little damage
I only do them in
With my mind
The power of exaggeration-
It is never as it seems

Prancing about in tiny clothes
My inner child is just about grown
Aged by doubt and circumstance
That nearly killed away my fun

I'm searching for a brand new something
That will fill the spaces that water finds?
I am dreaming of a brand new somewhere
Where life is much more solid-
Where I can depart from my old judgments and
Evaporate fluid confusion
