Poem: Tremendous Joy

H. Kris Thomas
I want to make footprints in the sky
Like the great ones who came before me
Like those souls that hurt hard before they were remembered
Like those hearts that bled profusely when loved well
Just like them that poured out their cups of weariness
And cleaned their plates that were filled with tremendous joy
