With your own shovel
And your own bare hands
Suffer the splinters
The calluses
The tiring
Crack open that beast
That casket that intends to swallow you
When your time is through
Stare into the mouth of it
Scream your sadness into it
Your Idontknow
Your Icannot
Your Hate
Your Fear
Drown those things
With free flowing tears
Make a mess of the velvet lining
Sully your sad past because it is far
Too easy to surrender to craving those things that were
And are no longer
Those things that did you more harm than good
Bury your sad self
The self that hurts and knows no healing
Leave no headstone
What was
Is no longer needed
What was
Can satisfactorily live in memory
It is time to let go
