The White woman
looks in the mirror
to apply her make-up
and does not see
privlidge
access
money
love
acceptance
majority
but
it's all there
it's all there.

Celebrate the History
Celebrate the history
of the people that
were sold by their own
people
to others who would sell
them to other people.
Celebrate the history
of the people that
have no where to go back to
and a country that
still see them as 2nd class
though they have been here since 1492.

Definition of US
A time when the color of
our skin would not
define our abilities,
what a dream,
what a thought,
and yet - My skin color
defines me because it is
MY skin -
It is my color -
and I stand proud
to wear this skin.
