A gentle motorboat,
But not all angel it's true,
Though not aloof at all,
As you cure our moods so blue.

Post a CommentCame back to this one yet again as I never tire of reading it. Posted it with a great many other pieces of yours today on Live Journal.
So true. Out little guy is not aloof at all.
I returned to this piece again tonight...so emotional and touching, Paul.
I call one of my cats " the healer". The other one is so in tuned to my emotions. They are the greatest.
My 3 cat's are motorboats, too!
I Love the motorboat comparison to a purring cat-really nice!
This is tender and touching. I really appreciate the use of just four lines, too.
The reading reminded me of Kiki who passed away this past October...spunky, beautiful and gray...eyes of green or turquoise, depending upon the light.
very cute poem, very nice :)
Interesting Poem, kind of a contemporary Haiku.
