Poems of Poetry Poeticly Dripped

Chad R. Herman
I'd give you up

I'd give up,

yet you'd still be there, looking

for the answers.

Looking for me to answer your

questions.

Would you give me

up

if I were your son.

Would you lift me

up

if I needed to be high?

Would you give

up on me when

I desperetly needed you?

Yes.

So I gave you up.

The cord

The chord rang out for

what seemed like

mintues

upon minutes

and seconds upon

seconds,

and it struck a cord

in me that made me remember

the bliss I had once heard

once felt

and then, I thought of you

and realized there was no

bliss there,

only what a damaged mind

had seen as happiness

and bliss

and the birth cord that kept

me connected to the

demons

in my mind.

Snip!

Yellow

The yellow crack grew from

living room

to bedroom

to kitchen,

and when it opened

the yellow liquid was

surprising to

only the man who lived there.

The urine was unusually

yellow,

and I knew it was because of

Vitamin B. But

the person at the urinal next

to me,

saw it as a reason to give me

his card, and I laughed

at the yellow business card

of that

urologist.
