It's time to give thanks despite a longing for more

Today is a blessing even though life's answers seem unsure

Yesterday deserves praise for opening the future's doors

On guardian angels wings ordinary people like you and me can soar

Praise be to God for the light of hope

Tomorrow holds promise under a prayerful microscope

Thanksgiving is a powerful gift to give and receive

So be thankful for what you have

And happy while pursuing your dreams

There is a reason to remain grateful

So don't always worry about what's next

Learn to appreciate what you have

And watch things turn out better than you expect

Last but not least

On Turkey Day don't forget to look at life in retrospect
