Poetry: Advice for New Moms

Jenny Heart
Capture this tiny beam of heavenly light,
that was sent from heaven above,
that seems to rest in the cradle of your arms,
needing love, not just fed.
Cradle baby in your arms nest,
never letting go of even the slightest of a sigh,
for you never know if the baby will soon cry.
Hold baby with love,
and much affection,
to make them wise beyond perfection.

Babies grow fast. They need lots of love starting from day one. Make each time you hold your baby count. Let them feel how strong your love is for them. Then, when they're older, and need someone to turn to, they will remember that loves heals all wounds, and where they felt it first.
