You cried and feared I'd fall
And when I did you picked me up
And kept me on the ball
You taught me what was right and wrong
You taught me how to care
You showed me love was worth it
And that peace of mind was there
There is no bond quite like it
Between a mother and a son
Through all the joys and tears
Through the sadness and the fun
You will always be my mother
Even as I grow older
As the seasons keep on changing
As my strength becomes bolder
You will always be within my heart
Until the very end
To me, you are special
My mother and my friend.
