Poetry Corner - Traditions

Gary Eoff
We travel life's uncharted ways
Are things as smooth as they seem?
What fills our lives is full of home
We pray its more than a dream.
Repeatedly we seek fulfillment
Do traditions ever die?
Excellence is all we can think about.
Then with memories of the past, we cry.
Is who I am a legend?
Not a flicker of the past?
An answer soon awaits me.
Act bold, the truth at last.
But what's this light inside me?
A beacon of things to come.
Habit was just the beginning.
Now I call it home.
