Poetry About Soccer: A Humorous, Rhyming Poem About Soccer

Cindy Lynn
Of Rolling Balls and Soccer Fights

I grabbed a pen and started to write
Of rolling balls and soccer fights,
Of broken noses and fractured toes-es
And uniforms not smelling like roses.

And then my brain had a kerflump-et
That sounded like a broken trumpet
Because I knew I'd never been
A rough, ol' soccer hooligan.

Nor even played a soccer game
Where people stand in pouring rain
And cheer when every thing is done.
It seems they're having so much fun.

So here I sit, with tea and crumpets,
My brain recovering from its kerflump-it
And hoping for 10,000 views
And Google rankings that make the news.
