The chai is warm
The platters full of fruit, cake, and nuts
Unexpected spaghetti
On small plates
The platters full of fruit, cake, and nuts
Unexpected spaghetti
On small plates
Ladies in purple
flowered skirts
scarves draped like pets
on shoulders
Smiles and voices
the laughs are captured
like butterflies in a net
Locked in my heart
Three kisses
on my cheek
linger like a long
forgotten friend
Sun on a porch
Poetry sounds like
ice captured in a glass
ready to moisten dry lips
Tea is served
