Point Guard (PG) Sleepers - Top 3

Toney Douglas - NY - pg/sg

With Chauncey Billups leaving New York, Douglas will be running the show for the Knicks to begin the 2011-2012 season. If all goes well and Douglas continues to improve upon his play from last season, he could easily become a 15 points and 5 assists per game PG. Add in solid contributing stat potential around 3 rebounds, 2 three pointers, and 1 steal per game, and Douglas could finish the season as a top 15 PG in fantasy basketball leagues.

2010-2011 Stats: 41.6 fg% -- 10.6 ppg -- 1.8 3pt -- 3.0 reb -- 3.0 ast -- 1.1 stl -- 0.1 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 43 fg% -- 15 ppg -- 2.0 3pt -- 3.0 reb -- 5.0 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.0 blk

Jeff Teague - Atl - pg/sg

After failing to live up to his potential over the first two seasons of his NBA career, Teague enters the 2011-2012 in essentially a make or break campaign. He should be given every opportunity to take over as the Hawks starting PG to begin the season, and if he can preform up to his potential, Teague could be a solid source of assists and steals in fantasy basketball lineups.

2010-2011 Stats: 43.8 fg% -- 5.2 ppg -- 0.3 3pt -- 1.5 reb -- 2.0 ast -- 0.6 stl -- 0.4 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 45 fg% -- 10 ppg -- 0.5 3pt -- 2.0 reb -- 5.0 ast -- 1.5 stl -- 0.5 blk

Leandro Barbosa - Tor - pg/sg

Barbosa is no longer an up and comer with high potential, but he can certainly light up the score board if given the opportunity. Luckily for him, a spot in the Raptors lineup should offer plenty of shooting opportunities for this long range specialist. If all fall right for Barbosa, he could rack up an average of 2 three pointers per game this season. As a late round draft pick in fantasy basketball leagues, Barbosa is a nice sleeper pick with a good amount of upside.

2010-2011 Stats: 45 fg% -- 13.3 ppg -- 1.2 3pt -- 1.7 reb -- 2.1 ast -- 0.9 stl -- 0.1 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 45 fg% -- 15 ppg -- 2.0 3pt -- 2.0 reb -- 2.0 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.0 blk
