Why is it
Why do we park on a driveway and drive on a parkway?? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Why is it that whenever you are in a hurry, everything seems to take longer to get done?
Why do they call the place that models walk out on to model clothes, a "catwalk"?
We always hear the phrases, "They say..." They recommend....", "According to them...", my question is who are "THEY" anyway??
Why is it that parents are always in a hurry for their kids to walk and talk? We Just end up telling them to sit still and be quiet.
Why is the place where an airplane lands called a "runway"? Why not call it a "landing-way"?
Why do womens jeans run in sizes such as 2,4,6,8,10, and mens jeans run in sizes like 30,32,34,36? Why can't they be sized the same?
Why is a fight between two or more women referred to as a "cat-fight"?
Why are laborers often times referred to as "blue-collar workers"?
Why does it take so long to actually talk to a real person when you call most businesses?
Why is it called "fast food" when it seems that you are always waiting for it?
What exactly is "cat scratch fever"?
Why are there so many lines at the DMV?
Why is it that a child can remember codes to video games, but will forget to brush his or her teeth?
Why doesn't summer vacation last all Summer?
Where does the Black Hole lead?
Why is it called a "coffee table" when it isn't made of coffee?
How old is "the old oak tree"?
Why is it called "construction" when it's being destroyed? Isn't that destruction?
Why are hurricanes always named after women?
Why is it that a person only has to be 18 to join the military, but 21 to drink? If a person is old enough to defend our country, shouldn't they be old enough to drink a beer?
Who ever decided the meaning of all of the words in the dictionary anyway?
What exactly is "normal", and who determines if a person is or is not?
Why is it that when a person has just gone grocery shopping, they will sit at home and complain that there is nothing to eat?
Why are government agencies always called by their abbreviations? FBI, CIA, DEA, etc., etc.?
I'm sure as you think about these points to ponder, you will think of many more. I know I often do. I have just come to the simple conclusion that not everything makes sense.
