Poised to Pounce

Shirley A Mandel
I saw an interesting scene taking place as I slid into the driver's side of my car. A cat and a rabbit were face to face in my yard, staring each other down, eye ball to eye ball. The cat was poised to pounce. It was a life or death match.

I paused for a few minutes to see how this confrontation would end, which one would make the first move, the cat or the rabbit ? I was curious, and the air was tense. Suddenly, the rabbit very quickly hopped off. The cat had lost his dinner. The rabbit was decisive, and it saved his life.

Are you eyeball to eyeball with Satan? Are you face to face with some kind of temptation? Are you tempted to be dishonest in some way or to cheat on your spouse? Be decisive. Hop right into the arms of Jesus. It may just save your soul!
