Some of the best poker party food ideas involve a crock pot. Crock pots can be put off to the side and need little to no care. You can play your game without having to worry about your food burning or going cold. A bowl of chili or stew works well for a poker game because it goes in a bowl and uses a spoon, meaning your fingers aren't going to get messy. Poker party foods that involve bowls should often be used at games with large tables. Accidents do happen, but they are even more likely when everyone sits their bowl on a tiny table along with their drinks and cards.
Another crock pot meal are little smokies in barbeque sauce or meatballs in barbeque sauce. These are great because they can be put on a small plate or in a bowl and eaten with a fork or a toothpick and they are very easy to make. Just open a package of little smokies or meatballs, throw them in the crock pot, pour your favorite barbeque sauce over the top, heat, and enjoy!
Chips and salsa aren't bad if you can keep your hands from getting too greasy from the chips and can refrain from dripping salsa on your cards! Pretzels and mustard could also be set out for those who like to munch while they play. For those that enjoy a healthier alternative you could set out a vegetable tray with some dip.
Beverages are a necessity when you are playing poker for long hours. These can range from the alcoholic to the non-alcoholic. It is important to have a variety for those who do not drink alcohol. Bottled water will keep everyone hydrated for tournaments and you can make a small bar with a bottle of bourbon and some beer.
While poker party food ideas are important it is also a valuable lesson to plan ahead for the clean up. Make sure that trash cans are available and that recycle cans are well marked. Napkins or paper towels are a must but handi-wipes could come in very handy, especially for poker party foods that involve eating with your fingers.
Poker party foods are meant to be fun, easy to cook and easy to eat. As long as the recipe falls under those tips then dig in and good luck!

I have to agree with the others here. While buffalo wings are great, it'd be really messy if you handled poker cards. Now, the chips are already red, so they wouldn't stain as much. =)
Very nice article, I enjoyed it very much.
It is always a difficult thing trying to come up with foods to eat that keep from getting the cards greasy and dirty! That's for sure :) Great ideas!
