Polaroid 23" HD LCD TV

HDTV

The television market of today is based around the flat panels, which are high definition and possibly plasma, if you are willing to spend the money. The TV that people use most commonly, but it is not on the market as much, is the tube television.

When I got the Polaroid 23" HD LCD TV I liked it from the start. I bought it because I knew that Polaroid was good with picture quality, since they have been making cameras for quite some time. I also liked the features that this TV came with.

In the area of sound quality, there are TV's that have better sound quality than this tv, but I give it 4.5 stars out of 5. I really like that you are able to change the sound mode, the eq, with the press of a button on your remote control. That makes it an easy thing to do and makes it easy to change for the program you are watching.

The picture quality is the best that I have seen. It gets 5 out of 5 stars. You are also able to change the picture mode with the press of a button on the remote and you can also go to the menu and customize the picture settings to the way you like. The color is so clear and when watching HD channels, like ESPNHD it feels like you are at the game.

The price of the TV is amazing. For $298 at Wal-Mart you get this 23" HDTV. That is great considering there are some 19" HDTVs at Wal-Mart for about $50 to $60 more and are not as good of quality as this TV. This may not be the first thing you look at when you go to buy a new TV because of the good price for the size of the Tv, you may think that it will not be as good of a HDTV as the others at that size that are more expensive, but it is something you should at least give a thought.

There are many great features on this TV. You can set parental controls of what TV stations are available and what movie rating are available. If certain channels do not get reception, you can go to the menu and go to the setting that lets you skip those channels as you are flipping through. On your remote you will see a button that says guide and if you press it a screen will pop up that tells you what show is playing, but that only depends on if the cable provider has given that information. You can press a button on the romote titled list, a little pop up comes on the screen and shows all the available channels and you can scroll through those and choose which one you want to watch. There are many more features but, you will have to see for yourself, because there is way too many to talk about.

I really like the TV and would recommend it to anybody that is looking for an HDTV, unless you want to go bigger then you are on your own, but this TV is still recommended.

If you get this TV at Wal-Mart and it is the last one and you have to buy the one on display, ask the manager of the store if you can get the price reducted and they might be able to give you a 10% discount, that happened to me.
