Police Brutality at Port Authority Bus Terminal

On 1/30/10 Bet. 8:10-8:25 pm, A Hispanic male around his Mid 50's - Early 60's, caramel skin color , grayish hair and prescription glasses was handled roughly by PA police officers. This took place in front of Deli Plus location next to the postal station and Jamba Juice.

The Male was in the Deli Plus sitting down with another male who was visibly drunk and the drunk male was causing a slight commotion in the place. It looked as if The innocent male was instructing the drunk male to go else where. A female officer that was walking around in the front of the deli plus asked the male was there a problem. The male said no and the police officer said "I didn't think so" in a rude way. The male continued to talk and she replied "sit down and shut up". He told her she should be else where gesturing her where she should be. The police officer continued to pursue him telling him to sit down while the he was near the seat talking and picking up his things that he may have bought there. The officer went to the front telling the young lady behind the counter something receiving an OK/YES gesture from the young lady. A few seconds later she was walking away and the male continued to talk out of frustration. The officer walked back and grabbed the man taking him out of the store and toward the exit of the terminal.

A few moments they were coming back pass the Deli Plus and she was accompanied by two other male police officers handling the man roughly. As they were walking by, the female officer tried to silence the male by pulling his hood over his face and pulling the strings on the hood causing his glasses to fly off. The male was enraged and began getting rough but he didn't hurt the officers. The female officer accused him of spitting but I saw it, he didn't spit. One of the male officers were handling him roughly as they walked away which was completely unnecessary.

This is an example of how the officers of the law abuse their power and hurt the innocent instead of helping them. I hope this article is recognized by news reporters anywhere to report this story because this was clearly not right. The man is innocent and all of the witnesses seen this. I was enraged by this and I hope something is done about it.
