Political Crisis in Egypt-Anarchy and the Rebellious Child

Is the Civil Unrest Destabilizing More Than Government?- a Look at the Cause and Effects of a Country in Crisis

Political activism is good; it is a great thing when people stand up for their rights to choose to be a free people. It is great when people wish to be heard and demand that their political leaders adhere to their needs as a people. It is a bad thing when it destabilizes a country, a commerce, a community, a region, and a world. It is a bad thing when the needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many. It is a bad thing when a small percentage of a people hold a vast percentage of people hostage to their views and radical means of obtaining goals. Is not this violence holding all of Egypt hostage? They are loosing their culture and their history. A destabilized government will collapse their position as a world economic force. Since the riots took over Egypt's major cities; families cannot go about their daily lives, commerce is shut down, thus leaving Egypt's credibility as a nation in question. As days turn into weeks, Egypt's economy hangs on the verge of a potential downward spiral that could descend them into a third world nation status.

It is true that Mubarak is not the savior, but he has in fact done much for the overall country and its global position. The violence and anarchy of these riots not only acts as a destabilization of the country and its government, it stands to collapse tourism, stability in the Middle East, as well as the country's commerce, trade and credibility. Jordan has seen chaos erupt, Iran see jolts within and the Middle East Stock Market is plunging. There is much at risk for the region and the world. These events create a quagmire where the good progress that has been achieved in today's more modernized Egypt has the very real potential to be destroyed; all this because a rogue group of people are ready to cripple their own country for decades or longer to make sudden dramatic change, instead of real steady progress. Egypt n unlike the rebellious teenager who wants their freedom without looking at the practical ways of growing into independence.

The riots have their important place to jump start change, yet any person of intelligence knows real change comes with dialogue, unless dialogue is impossible. Real change comes from intelligent discussions, planning and compromise. There are those who have compared Mubarak with dictatorship, yet he knows he must change now. Unlike Stalin, Hitler, Chavez and Castro, he did not torture his own people, suppress maybe, but torture- no, complete domination-no. Egypt with proper planning can provide more opprotunities for middle class wealth and commerce can become more evenly distributed with proper measures! The people of Egypt should acknowledge the good and the bad, just as a child must assess what lessons their parent has taught them that should apply to their adulthood and which ones do not! Some of Hasni Mubarak's work has served much of the country's goals. Egypt has witnessed a growing the commerce over the year's and the country's standing in the world has significantly increased. It is true other areas have suffered from imbalance. However, this present approach serves only to destabilize the whole country and the region for potentially decades. Thus the very issue they fight for; economic freedom and growth is on the verge of becoming an even more distant dream.

  • Egypt's people demand change from Mubarak
  • Destabalizing of Egypt
  • The cause and effects of a country in crisis

Their culture and history? The culture and history that is referred to as "Egyptian" is of the non-arab people than came before the real Egyptians that are called Nubians.

I understand, the issue however is after all the preservation of the nation of Egypt, the process should happen in due process, not chaos.

when a person dominates a country for too long;though he may be good as an administrator;coruptions and evils lurks through his aids, families, officials, friends, etc. therefore, change is the alternatives.
