Political Limerick Contest Winners

James Kerley
There once was a contest from AC....

I better leave the limericks to the professionals. A huge thank you to the very large number of submissions for this fun and engaging contest. There were many, many great submissions, and as usual we had a very difficult time picking out the winners. We truly wish we could award multiple CPs with the $10 prizes, but unfortunately we could only pick a few.

And the winners are:

In the Independent category: The Founders Fire - A Political Limerick for Anarchists and Independents, by porterdog.

In the Pro-Obama/Anti-McCain category: Politics With Bite, by Morag Mortimer-Smythe.

In the Pro-McCain/Anti-Obama category: The Legend of Maverick McCain, by Sheryl Young.

It is prime political season, and for those who didn't win, this is still a perfect time to promote your limericks and earn Performance Payments! Check the Prose section for revolving features of entries that didn't win. Also, check out the rest of the entries, and in addition to exercising your right to create hilarious limericks, exercise your right to vote this November 4th!

Aw, I put "limerick contest" in the search bar, and couldn't find my entry, and then I realized I didn't put "contest" in the title or the article. Is there going to be a forum thread to nominate entries, or are The Powers That Be at AC going to decide this time?

Thanks for the info. I am enjoying reading so many, as well as the comments on my entry. These contests are fun, and I am pleased to see AC valuing creative writing.

    What is the deadline date?

Thanks for the info. Mine was published today. Is there an easy way to look at all of the entries? I found a method so I don't miss any, but it would be nice if there was a specific spot to find them in. Maybe there is and I just haven't figured it out. Can someone enlighten me?
